Education:
A Bachelor’s
degree in civil engineering or an equivalent field of study
Experience:
Relevant internship or co-op experience
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or the ability to complete the exam within 6 months of start date
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to complete engineering calculations and analyses
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and on teams
- Comfortable working in remote settings
- An active focus on health and safety for themselves and others
Job Responsibility:
Working with project teams on civil and geotechnical projects
- Performing engineering analyses such as:
- Site and material characterization
- Slope stability, seepage, liquefaction, and settlement
- Surface water management
- Preparing reports documenting field and laboratory investigations, engineering analyses, and facility designs
- Preparing project design packages including technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Communicating with clients and developing scopes of work
- Developing plans for and conducting field assignments, such as inspections, investigations, and construction monitoring
- Preparing and implementing project health and safety plans
