JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification:

Education & Experience

  1. Ph.D. in Nutrition Science, Food Science, Biomedical Science, Pathology, Physiology or a similar field with a strong background in human health, physiology and dietary science

  2. 1-3 years of experience in dietary and nutritional science in the context of food product development and clinical trial design and execution


Job Responsibility:

  1. Use core research capabilities and know-how to conduct nutritional research on plant-based foods

  2. Deliver scientific interpretation, due diligence, and technical fortitude for product formulations, labeling and advertising claims
  3. Support the team by overseeing nutritional content through the product development process and identifying areas of opportunity for improvement
  4. Support clinical studies of diet and nutrition by providing input to study design, monitoring, and post-study analysis and interpretation
  5. Plan and conduct research studies to develop understanding of nutrition at a cell and tissue level, as well as ex vivo simulation studies
  6. Monitor and analyze new scientific information related to dietary intakes and ingredients within subject matter expertise; disseminate relevant information to key internal stakeholders
  7. Critically review and update the team on clinical studies related to diet and health, updates to global dietary recommendations, and safety studies
  8. Contribute new ideas within your subject matter expertise that drive consumer health through scientific and technical expertise
  9. Actively support the innovation stage gate process: brainstorming and ideation sessions, concept development, concept screening, feasibility and commercialization
  10. Leverage internal and external technology capabilities to help develop products that match or exceed consumer needs and provide a significant nutritional advantage
  11. Build cross-functional support when appropriate and develop project plans to drive development and implementation
  12. Continuously search for and vet advanced technologies that complement areas of strategic focus
  13. Preserve all forms of intellectual and material property generated from the above activities, including writing patents, writing protocols for novel processes
  14. Maintain a safe working environment
