Qualification:

Education & Experience

  1. Tertiary Degree in HR, Organisational Psychology, Business or related field of study coupled with 10+ years relevant professional experience in Talent Acquisition with demonstrated market knowledge of talent challenges relevant to Qantas Group talent needs

  2. Proven experience in developing recruitment strategies and implementing recruitment processes and practices and in managing a diverse team to successful outcomes
  3. High level of consultation, negotiation and interpersonal relationship skills used to consult with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  4. Experience delivering efficiencies via technology using Workday (highly desirable) or another recruitment system
  5. Sound analytical and reporting capability
  6. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and ability to perform under tight deadlines in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
  7. A flexible approach based upon changing business needs and workload allocation
  8. An understanding of HR and IR laws and their impact on the recruitment process

Job Responsibility:

  1. You will provide direction, leadership and advice on the development and provision of recruitment services across our Customer and Campaign portfolio including our frontline service roles in Cabin Crew and Airports Customer Services as well as promoting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Careers and Apprentice programs for the Qantas Group.

  2. Leading a small team of Talent Acquisition Specialists, you will ensure high-quality recruitment services in the permanent, campaign and contract resourcing space whilst ensuring we meet all required legal and compliance standards. 
  3. Reporting and technology are another key focus of this position, acting as a Talent Acquisition SME driving improvement across how we work both for the business and to provide an exceptional candidate experience. 
  4. Maintaining a positive 'can-do' attitude and being persistent in delivering a best practice, cost effective service to the Qantas Group is critical.
  5. Collaborating across the Qantas Group People & Culture leadership community and building relationships with business partners and stakeholders across our complex and matrixed organisation will be an essential requirement of this role. 
  6. Managing our third-party vendor relationships and contractual agreements ensuring they meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and monitoring performance levels is also part of this role.
