Sufficient tertiary qualifications and professional development
- Experience in a Defence Aerospace project
- Knowledge of system safety interactions with the certification program
- Experience in certification of UAS (ideal)
- Knowledge of DASA requirements
- A reliable, resourceful and team-oriented approach to work
- Strong verbal and written communication
Job Responsibility:
Provide operational assessments and review of project airworthiness documentation
- Contribution to the Aircraft Flight Manuals (AFMs) and other OIP, Airworthiness Issue Papers (AWIPs)
- Initial Airworthiness support to the Airworthiness program schedule
- Airworthiness contribution to Material System Safety (i.e. develop draft Aviation Safety Acquisition Management Plan (ASAMP)
- Manage and conduct Operational Specification updates due to variation requests instigated from DASA or the regulated community
- Update the Defence Register by adding or removing aircraft
- Provide input to upcoming Airworthiness boards based on recent operational assessments
- Draft operational airworthiness procedures, instructions and manuals
