JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification:

Education & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science discipline with 1+ years’ experience in the use of laboratory techniques such as sterile and aseptic techniques, buffer/media formulation, sterile filtration, adjusting pH, and SDS-page OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 5+ years’ experience in the use of laboratory techniques such as sterile and aseptic techniques, buffer/media formulation, sterile filtration, adjusting pH, and SDS-page

  2. Demonstrated knowledge in the use of basic scientific laboratory equipment such as pipettes, scales, pH meters, filters, fume hoods, Bio-Safety Cabinets, Laminar Flow Hoods, and autoclaves
  3. Ability to follow directions outlined in Standard Operating Procedures
  4. Ability to accurately complete Batch Records while adhering to Quality and Regulatory requirements
  5. Demonstrated knowledge in Sterile / Aseptic technique required
  6. Basic knowledge in western blot, cell-based assays and basic immunological / molecular techniques
  7. Ability to handle biologically hazardous materials
  8. Working knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems, Oracle or SAP preferred
  9. Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel software programs
  10. Ability to solve simple and complex mathematical equations
  11. Ability to multi-task and meet manufacturing production schedules with a sense of urgency
  12. Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  13. Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability create clear, concise written reports and accurate completion of batch records
  14. Ability to follow, write, and edit Standard Operating Procedures
  15. Adherence to Quality and Regulatory requirements/programs
  16. Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and to thrive in a constantly changing business environment
  17. Demonstrated knowledge in laboratory safety plans and procedure to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations
  18. Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment


Job Responsibility:

  1. Under direct supervision, perform routine laboratory operations associated with the manufacture and packaging of cell culture media and reagents for Life Science business unit resulting in customer satisfaction.

  2. Partner with R&D, Technical Transfer, Planning, Production, Quality Control, and Distribution to manufacture and assemble products in final configuration to meet customer needs.
