JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification:

Education & Experience

  1. BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Computer Engineering, or closely related field and PMP preferred.

  2. 5+ years on the job (full time) in an Engineering role a must.
  3. Strong understanding of R&D development processes and global Supply Chain operations processes
  4. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing production processes. Understanding of how new products and changes to existing products impact the product in the areas of cost, performance, quality and throughput.
  5. Demonstrated leadership skills in areas of coaching, communication, facilitation, team leadership and business management.
  6. Demonstrated success in working complex issues with cross-function team members to effective resolution.
  7. Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills with others above and below in the organization.
  8. Experience with FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing in a Lean production environment preferred
  9. Experience working with suppliers to resolve technical issues preferred
  10. Experience with Microsoft Office tools required
  11. Methodical, effective troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  12. Self-motivated and able to learn quickly from others, recognize problems and take corrective action when appropriate
  13. A team player who proactively seeks out expertise and advice from others


Job Responsibility:

  1. Leading the PI Project Team through all phases of a project.

  2. Represent PI on the Cross Functional Core Team
  3. Manage the Projects: Scope, Cost, Schedule, Risk plans, and associated process documentation deliverables.
  4. Investigate and determine root cause of product issues for production products and determine appropriate resolution.
  5. Provide support to Production during prototype build activities
  6. Assisting and leading continuous improvement through Lean methodologies
  7. Creating new, and update existing engineering/business process documentation
  8. Engage in product development and introduction efforts as a technical contributor on the PI Engineering team. This includes providing DFx (Design for Manufacturability, Testability, Reliability, and Serviceability) input into product requirements, PCa design, Product test planning, producing technical solutions to meet the requirements, and performing liaison engineering activities as required to introduce products into a factory: in-house or at a partner.
