An engineering or trade qualification
- A strong knowledge of maintenance systems and processes
- The ability to work effectively with a broad group of people, and develop strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Considerable experience in leadership of the maintenance function and demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships
Job Responsibility:
Leading and managing the maintenance store and inventory
- Understanding the criticality of parts and stock holding policies to ensure optimised spare parts inventory
- Analysing materials, suppliers and parts to determine opportunities for cost saving and performance improvement
- Leading and managing major equipment services and associated contractors
- Maintain and enhance high standards in relation to Safe Work practices, including permits, SWMS & contractor management
- Improving workforce productivity through eliminating potential delays by developing plans and schedules for maintenance work based on demand, workload, skill sets and available parts
- Ensuring effective use and continued development of computerised maintenance management processes
- Oversight of KPI’s relevant to materials/inventory management including reporting, analysis & plans for improvement
- Ensuring activities are planned and scheduled in accordance with the needs of production and logistics
- Keeping abreast of activities in engineering projects and major improvement activities, and using this information to align maintenance priorities
- Support site capital plans
- Coordinating maintenance work for external contractors and spare parts needs through stores
- Working with the Continuous Improvement Planner to recommend and implement improvements to the maintenance regime for equipment
- Leading teams to deliver planned outcomes and ensuring trades and technicians are effective and well utilised
- Developing long term plans aimed at smoothing the maintenance load
