Education & Experience:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology

Job Responsibility:

1. Assist in the management of the technical aspects of assigned projects in accordance with project requirements within cost, schedule and risk parameters

2. Interface with company staff, sub-vendors and clients on technical matters during the development of the project through the course of engineering, fabrication, delivery, erection and commissioning of the project

3. Develop technical documentation packages in sufficient detail and completeness to permit the procurement of materials and services as required to meet project requirements within cost, schedule and risk parameters
4. Review company, sub-vendor and client drawings and design data to ensure proper interface to associated equipment and adherence to overall project requirements
5. Performance reviews of department employees
6. Provide overall guidance and direction to the company on technical matters during the development of the project through the course engineering, fabrication, delivery, erection and commissioning of the project
7. Monitor the progress of project execution and assist in the development of schedules and priorities within internal engineering
8. Demonstrate familiarity with a wide range of concepts, practices and principles of the boiler industry and associated tools/techniques
9. Participates in the strategic development of the department to achieve overall company goals and targets
10. Leads and coordinates the work and development of peers
11. Mentor the Project Engineers and Associate Project Engineers in providing tech support, project time management for the technical part of the project, project cost management especially in the areas of instrumentation and controls
