Education & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering.
- Design and/or operational experience relating to water treatment.
- Ideally, you will have technical experience with water treatment plants including Clarification processes, media filtration processes, UV disinfection, chlorine disinfection, sludge thickening and dewatering, and membrane processes.
- Excellent excel skills for analysing data and willingness to learn from others how to use more advanced machine learning algorithm software for data analysis (e.g. R).
- Excellent report writing skills.
Job Responsibility:
The design and delivery of small to large scale projects in the water and wastewater industry including existing plant upgrades, greenfield site designs and re-use and recycling plants.
- Deliver technically excellent process engineering designs and consultancy services. Carry out independently design/review/assurance on projects.
- Key to the role will be your experience and understanding of operational issues, associated mechanical equipment and instrumentation and control systems for water treatment plants.
- Assist with driving business development by assisting with proposal preparation and identifying the next opportunities.
- Supporting the section leader, and project managers in the delivery of financially successful projects.
- Develop and maintain strong key client relationships – act as a trusted advisor to a select group of Jacobs key clients across the public and private sectors.
- Mentor and facilitate the technical development of more junior engineers to meet market requirements.
- Promote safety culture within the organisation and with our clients.
