JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification:

Education & Experience

  1. A tertiary qualification in HR or a business

  2. In depth knowledge and demonstrated experience with ER/IR processes.
  3. Demonstrated sound decision-making capability weighing up multiple competing internal and external factors to ensure organisation risk is minimised and regulatory compliance achieved.
  4. Strong relationship management experience.
  5. Capacity to work well under pressure with competing priorities and time constraints.
  6. Experience and knowledge of heavily unionised environments.

 

Job Responsibility:

  1. Provide day-to-day coaching and advice to management on workforce matters, including performance management and employment conditions, disciplinary matters, and termination processes.

  2. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and manage grievances in accordance with the relevant Company Policies & Standards, including the development of corrective actions where appropriate.
  3. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, with guidance from the Senior Manager – Human Resources.
  4. Provide HR advice to assist in the effective management of workers compensation claims, RTW plans, and other fitness for duty issues.
  5. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  6. Oversee successful on-boarding of new and promoted employees as required.
