Education & Experience
A tertiary qualification in HR or a business
- In depth knowledge and demonstrated experience with ER/IR processes.
- Demonstrated sound decision-making capability weighing up multiple competing internal and external factors to ensure organisation risk is minimised and regulatory compliance achieved.
- Strong relationship management experience.
- Capacity to work well under pressure with competing priorities and time constraints.
- Experience and knowledge of heavily unionised environments.
Job Responsibility:
Provide day-to-day coaching and advice to management on workforce matters, including performance management and employment conditions, disciplinary matters, and termination processes.
- Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and manage grievances in accordance with the relevant Company Policies & Standards, including the development of corrective actions where appropriate.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, with guidance from the Senior Manager – Human Resources.
- Provide HR advice to assist in the effective management of workers compensation claims, RTW plans, and other fitness for duty issues.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Oversee successful on-boarding of new and promoted employees as required.
