Qualification:
Education & Experience
Knowledge of general safety protocols/procedures, such as lock-out-tag-out and tools, materials, and equipment used in the operating, maintaining, and repairing of all equipment.
- Basic knowledge of pump and compressor operations, SCADA and PLC systems, and CMMS work order completion.
- Familiarity with construction plans
- Ability and aptitude to interpret and understand plans and specifications
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
- Team oriented and ability to get along with others
- Good math skills (ability to: add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Knowledge in MS Office and technical software
- Ability to pass safety and certification classes (including First Aid and CPR) and exhibit safety oriented mentality
- Effectively communicate with managers, engineers, craft workers and contract personnel.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to embrace new technologies and processes
- High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-year technical degree preferred.
- 0-2 years experience. General understanding of safety and environmental permits, policies, and procedures. Plant experience preferred
Job Responsibility:
Has the ability to read, write, and comprehend procedures, instructions, and equipment O and M manuals.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to make minor equipment repairs.
- Understands and uses process principles, computers (SCADA, PLC, Monitoring, Historical), operate pumps, compressors, valves, and equipment.
- Ability to collect samples and conduct lab analysis.
- Develops the skills of interpreting any needed corrective actions within eight weeks of date of hire and demonstrates the ability to document results clearly, completely and concisely.
- Records and understands meter/gauge readings and test results accurately and determine actions to be taken.
- Identify areas for improvement and seeks creative solutions.
- Ability to apply reasoning and judgment in diagnosing mechanical faults and troubleshooting process issues
