Qualification:
Education & Experience
Tertiary or Trade Qualifications in engineering or similar technical discipline
- Strong experience working in PLC control systems and programming- SCADA, PLC, VSD & network devices
- Manage and maintain the control systems hardware
- A previous experience with Rockwell PLC systems is preferred for this role
- Experience in Process Plant Background is an advantage
- Working with Automation control systems
- Working with IT Systems
- Working with Process control
- Strong problem-solving skills
Job Responsibility:
Setting, modifying, maintaining and improving site control systems
- Providing specialist technical support on SCADA systems and PLC and HMI technology
- Validation of the automation and computer systems related to plant control
- Identifying areas of risk within our automation assets area, stemming from instability or aging technology
- Ensuring all automation projects are well managed and fully scoped including the technical architecture, costs, benefits and capital proposal justification
- Managing external contractors and consultants in the execution of projects
- Utilising your engineering and code writing skills to improve machine capability and reliability making an active contribution to Fonterra continuous improvement initiatives and site automation strategy
