Education & Experience
Completion of a Bachelor of Engineering (Process or Environmental)
- Minimum of 2 years full-time experience working in relevant field
Job Responsibility:
The Process Engineer is responsible for the optimisation of all Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, to ensure a consistent, efficient, and high-quality treated water is provided to all Shoalhaven Water customers. Specifically, this includes, where possible, the minimising of chemical usage and the potential for automation and standardization of treatment plant processes.
- Provide support to the Water/Wastewater Unit Managers and Coordinators responsible for the day to day operation of the Water/Wastewater Plants.
- Develop and maintain individual Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
- Develop a Plant performance monitoring system for all Water/Wastewater treatment Plants.
- Ensuring Best Practice policies and procedures are in place for the Water Operations Unit’s compliance with all relevant legislation and Council policies and ensure that risks are managed.
