JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification:

Education & Experience

  1. Partners with production leaders to select and prioritize projects to meet business goals
  2. Manages & leads projects from concept through implementation
  3. Utilizes Lean Six Sigma and engineering tools to improve flow, eliminate waste, reduce process variation, and improve quality process controls
  4. Acquires & analyzes process and quality data to understand, improve, and measure process improvements
  5. Identifies, attacks, and improves bottlenecks by balancing work content for operators, stations, and production lines
  6. Modifies / designs / implements processes to improve production flow
  7. Works cross-functionally between production, quality, safety, and product development to reduce defects, improve product flow through the facility, and support new product launches
  8. Performs root cause analysis and implements corrective action to reduce process variation
  9. Designs & implements jigs, fixtures, and other production aids
  10. Creates work instructions, quality alerts, and process change notifications
  11. Reviews manufacturing areas for potential safety hazards and assures that all safety practices are followed while implementing new processes
  12. Other duties as assigned


            Job Responsibility:

            1. Four-year engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering technology
            2. In lieu of a four-year degree, candidates with an associates degree in engineering or technology and at least 10 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting production lines in a manufacturing environment will be considered
            3. Prefer at least three (3) years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting production lines in a manufacturing environment
            4. Fiberglass / lamination / composites manufacturing knowledge is strongly preferred
            5. Must be self-motivated, high energy, and results oriented
            6. Strong organizational skills, effective planning, and proven track record of execution
            7. Must have a hands-on and customer-oriented approach to problem solving
            8. Must be able to work and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of the organization
            9. Must possess outstanding analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
            10. Experience with technical prints, bill of materials, and CAD software
            11. Must be flexible to work extended hours and travel to support the requirements of the business
